Since 1943, the Allison-Smith Company has been a true leader in the electrical contracting and engineering industry. We first planted our roots in Atlanta, Georgia, and have since evolved into a premier firm with an international presence.
Our story dates back before the post-WWII prosperity of Atlanta in the 1960s. By the 1970s, Allison-Smith had expanded through the Southeast, and by the 1990s, our reach grew internationally. From the beginning, our founder, Robert Allison, instilled a culture of applying electrical engineering acumen to the process of construction. This culture has continued through the leadership of Frank Smith, Lanny Thomas, David Cartwright, Joe Satterfield, and Robert Jerrell.
Operating under the broad category of electrical contractor, Allison-Smith Company LLC is much more than your run-of-the-mill electrician. Our expertise includes commercial buildings of all types, institutional buildings, data centers, call centers, medical facilities, sports facilities, laboratories, satellite earth stations, convention centers, and more.
When you think of electrical contractors, you might think of merely lighting and power, but at Allison-Smith this is only a fraction of our scope. Our services range from electrical distribution, mission critical power, lighting systems and controls, lighting color tuning, to security systems, access control systems, fire alarm systems, voice and data systems, building automation systems, smart buildings, IoT integration, AV, and fiber optics.
Allison-Smith is a true story of “the company that could.” We’ve got a lot of heart, and our team of experts is always eager to bring our client’s projects-and futures-into a whole new light.
