WHAT IS AN APPRENTICESHIP?
An apprenticeship allows you to get an accredited qualification while working and earning wages in the career of your choice. During your apprenticeship, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals, honing your technical skills while gaining practical, on-the-job experience. If you’re someone who learns best outside the classroom, an apprenticeship could be the perfect opportunity to launch your career.
Application & Hiring Process
To submit your application for our apprenticeship program, please confirm you meet the minimum qualifications, then follow the steps below.
Step 1 – Submit
Submit application to the Electrical Training Center ›
Step 2 – Contact Us
Contact Aaron Walsh at aaron.walsh@allisonsmith.com to be added to Allison-Smith Company’s referral list.
Step 3 – Check Your Email
Wait for an email from someone from the job placement team at the Electrical Training Center. The email will include the following new hire instructions.
- Complete Drug Test
- Pick up work referral from IBEW
- Report to Allison-Smith Company for orientation & job assignment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent work ethic
- High School Diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license
- Must pass:
- Drug test
- Background check
- Aptitude test
