Job Description:
Allison-Smith Company is seeking qualified Project Managers who can perform at a high level on complex construction projects.
Project Managers are responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of electrical construction projects. This includes managing project schedules, budgets, resources, and personnel to ensure high-quality, timely, and safe project delivery. The role involves coordinating with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and resolving technical issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage electrical construction projects from inception to completion
- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
- Supervise and coordinate electrical teams, subcontractors, and vendors
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, codes, and regulations
- Plan, develop, and track overall and short-term project task schedules to ensure production
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality
- Communicate project status to clients, stakeholders, and senior management
- Address and resolve any technical or logistical issues that may arise during construction
- Review and approve work plans, change orders, and submittals

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Scheduler to join our commercial and industrial electrical contracting team. The Project Scheduler will play a critical role in the successful planning and execution of projects by developing, maintaining, and monitoring schedules across all phases—from conceptual project planning to detailed crew-level task planning. This individual will ensure that projects are accurately resourced, production is tracked against plans, and that schedule risks are identified early to support proactive management.
Job Qualifications

- Demonstrated ability to independently develop, manage, and maintain project schedules for electrical construction projects from initial planning through project closeout, reflecting a strong understanding of electrical project management principles.
- Proven experience in the construction industry, specifically with electrical contractor engineering projects, is required.
- A minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in project scheduling within the construction industry and electrical contractor engineering projects is required.
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, electrical foremen, general contractors, owners, and subcontractors.
Role and Responsibilities:
Schedule Development & Management
- Develop and maintain project schedules from conceptual milestones through detailed execution schedules.
- Create short-interval (look-ahead) schedules to support field supervision and crew-level task planning.
- Update and track project schedules regularly to reflect actual progress, identifying variances between planned and actual production.
- Develop need by dates for BIM, submittals, procurement, prefab to support project milestone requirements.
Resource & Manhour Planning
- Resource-load schedules with labor manhours to support accurate forecasting and manpower planning.
- Generate crew size requirements based on workload and productivity expectations.
- Coordinate resource allocation with field operations to align with project needs
Coordination with Other Trades
- Understand predecessor and successor relationships with other trades to ensure proper sequencing and minimizing conflicts.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, foremen, and other trade partners to optimize schedules.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and report on actual production versus planned production, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Provide regular schedule updates and reports to project management and clients.
- Support schedule-related documentation for project claims, delays, or acceleration.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and electrical trade activities.
- Ability to resource-load schedules and perform earned value and productivity analysis.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both office and field personnel.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organized, creative, and proactive Marketing Assistant to support the marketing function across BuildTime, a fast-growing construction SaaS startup, and Allison-Smith, an 80-year industry leader in commercial electrical construction.
This is a unique opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career marketer who wants real ownership, not coffee runs or busywork. You will help execute campaigns, create content, manage digital assets, coordinate vendors, and jump in wherever marketing is needed, from social scheduling and landing pages to onsite content capture and trade show prep.
You will report to the Marketing Manager and work closely with leadership across both brands.
What You’ll Do
BuildTime (approximately 70 to 80 percent of workload)
- Assist in planning and executing content across social channels
- Help build email campaigns, sales enablement assets, and case studies
- Organize and maintain content folders, testimonials, and video/photo libraries
- Coordinate giveaways, event kits, trade show collateral, and branded swag
- Write marketing copy
Allison-Smith (approximately 20 to 30 percent of workload)
- Support internal marketing such as employee newsletters, employee spotlights, and event recaps
- Assist with Canva graphics, flyers, presentation slides, and email communications
- Help coordinate photography, signage, and vendor requests
- Assist in the creation of social posts

Service Technician Electrician – Charleston
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Service Technician to join our team. This role requires a strong work ethic, flexibility, and the ability to meet strict safety and compliance standards, particularly for projects requiring elevated background clearance.
General Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous
